## Review Highlights
- Thomas Mertz - 3/5: We did not have a good experience at Pelican Bend. But, given its high ratings and the fact that the manager actually called me to apologize, it was likely just a one-off. The short of it was that our order was slow in coming and was not served as requested, although they did remake one of the dishes. I had the Catch of the Day sandwich, which was fresh local grouper. My wife had a Caesar salad and grilled cheese sandwich. She did not like that the salad, instead of croutons, came with two slices of grilled baguette, which were tough and inedible. Other than that, the food was good and the limeade cocktail was very refreshing.
RE: the owner's response: They rightfully clarify the details and what they did to try to satisfy us. My review wasn't intended as a complaint, but merely a report of our experience, good and bad.
- Todd Algren - 1/5: Where do I start? I decided I would get food for the gf and I so, I did a “to go” order. I ordered “Prime Rib Sliders.” I think they meant roast beef well done slices. The Capri sandwich was ok.
When I asked the hostess to get the manager she went straight the bartender with whom took my food order. So when I do get to speak to the manager about the horrendous service they all thought it would be great to interject. So, it was them 3 and myself as if they were trying to intimidate me.
The owner was the only one with common sense whom actually had a good conversation with me. Attached pic is showing the dryness of the sliders. The owner saved the day for them. Ben the bartender, you should learn to keep your negative comments to yourself when a customer is talking to the manager. You could’ve made this better but you decided to act like you were better than me which was quite honestly a true showing of the kind of person you are… I wouldn’t go back if they paid me $1,000 to.
Also, just be careful when you are ordering “to go.” Ben the bartender said that “to go” orders are pushed to the back of the line - so I waited an hour or so for food that I already paid for.
- Adlyn Thomas - 5/5: We are from Missouri , and wanted affordable but quality seafood! We had some not so good experiences before spending a lot of $$ on not good seafood. Our experience changed when we ate at Pelican Bend! We were craving coconut shrimp & grouper and boy did they deliver! Our food was prompt and quality , the best we’ve had in FL! We appreciate their service , and quality sea food experience on the dock of the bay! We are pretty picky people when it comes to food and this place definitely passed the test!!
Our recommendations::::Definitely try their signature creamy garlic sauce ,coconut shrimp & grouper they are SO good!!
